The Television Critics Association is a non-profit organization of professional, full-time TV writers and critics covering the television industry for newspapers, magazines and advertiser-supported online sites. TCA holds twice-yearly press tours in the Los Angeles area for members that allows face-to-face contacts with network executives, producers and actors.
Applications are accepted twice a year: September 5-16 and March 15-April 1.
If you would like to apply for membership, you may do so beginning March 2019.
Interested in applying to become a TCA member? Please make sure you fit the following criteria before submitting an application:
1) You are a full-time editor, journalist or critic who covers television as a significant percentage of their beat.
2) You are employed or contracted as a reporter, writer or editor for organizations that are supported by advertising and/or paid subscriptions and are not promotional or house organs of any television network, advocacy group, television-production company or government agency.
3) You adhere to professional standards of behavior in order to preserve effective working relationships with the networks, studios, talent and others involved in Press Tour presentations.
